Welcome to OXS 100 Cell and Molecular Biology Introduction.  In this tutorial we will introduce and build a strong conceptual foundation in the major topics of cell and molecular biology, including the features and types of cellular life, how information is stored and processed through DNA, RNA, and protein molecules, how proteins and lipid membranes work together to selectively compartmentalize the cell and separate the cell from the extracellular environment, how energy is harvested, conserved, and used by the cell, and how cells control their growth, division, and interaction with other cells in cellular communities.
