This course explores the rhetoric of feminism by examining feminist theory, and discussing the treatment of women’s rhetoric in the larger culture.  As a result of this course, you will be able to: 1) improve your understanding of how feminism is defined in our culture and how the feminist movement has changed over time; 2) recognize how the historical treatment of women’s rhetoric has spurred feminist social movements; 3) understand common approaches to feminism within a rhetorical framework; 4) gain an appreciation of historically significant feminist rhetors and their artifacts.
